Team MSW Holds Strategic Coordination Meeting with NBR, Bangladesh Customs, NSW and Port Authorities
A strategic coordination meeting was held at the National Board of Revenue to review MSW integration with ASYCUDA World, National Single Window services, Customs vessel-clearance processes, and IMO FAL Forms, marking an important step toward a more integrated maritime clearance ecosystem in Bangladesh.
Following the successful progress in the development of the Maritime Single Window (MSW) system, the next major focus is now on completing effective integration with key existing national systems and relevant stakeholder platforms. As part of this important journey, Team MSW held a strategic coordination meeting with the National Board of Revenue (NBR), Bangladesh Customs, National Single Window (NSW), Chittagong Port Authority, Mongla Port Authority, and other key stakeholders involved in Bangladesh’s vessel clearance ecosystem.
The meeting was held on 07 July 2026 at the National Board of Revenue (NBR) building. Representatives from the ICT Wing of NBR, Chittagong Port Authority, Mongla Port Authority, Customs House Chattogram, Customs House Mongla, National Single Window Project, and the NSW development vendor were present at the meeting.
The Maritime Single Window system is being implemented under the Department of Shipping to support Bangladesh’s obligations under the IMO Convention on Facilitation of International Maritime Traffic, commonly known as the FAL Convention. ADDIE Soft Ltd. is serving as the development partner for the MSW system and is working to support the development of a more efficient, integrated, and digitally enabled maritime service delivery platform.
The meeting focused on several important areas directly connected to vessel clearance and maritime digitalization. Key discussion points included the current scope and progress of the MSW system, possible integration between MSW and ASYCUDA World, data exchange requirements, existing Customs-related vessel clearance processes, and the identification of process steps that still require full digitalization.
Another major area of discussion was the review of existing digital services under the National Single Window and the necessary gap analysis for integration with MSW. The meeting also covered the implementation and digitalization of IMO FAL Forms 1 to 7 within the MSW platform, which is a critical requirement for facilitating standardized and internationally aligned maritime traffic procedures.
The coordination meeting concluded with a fruitful outcome, paving the way for stronger collaboration among NBR, Bangladesh Customs, NSW, port authorities, and Team MSW. The discussion created a clearer pathway for aligning existing systems, reducing manual process dependency, improving data exchange, and making vessel clearance faster, smoother, and more transparent.
Through this collaborative effort, the Maritime Single Window system is expected to play a vital role in modernizing Bangladesh’s maritime clearance process. With the successful implementation of MSW in the near future, Bangladesh’s vision of becoming a true maritime powerhouse is moving one step closer to reality.
ADDIE Soft Ltd. is proud to contribute to this nationally significant digital transformation initiative and remains committed to supporting the successful implementation of the Maritime Single Window system for a smarter, more connected, and more efficient maritime sector in Bangladesh.
